Department of Anatomy
1. Department of anatomy was established in 1990.
2. It has well developed museum with radiological cross section, bone bank, histology projection facility and cadaveric donation facility.
3. It has well-equipped dissection laboratory hall with facility for fetal dissection.
4. Department also has histology laboratory which gives exact idea how to observe slides under microscope and to develop basic microscopic anatomy concepts.
5. Department library has various anatomy books with titles including books on genetics and bioethics.
Department of Physiology and Biochemistry
This department was established in the year 1990 and has a strong academic focus. It consists of its own departmental library. Demonstration rooms for the better understanding of the student’s. Spacious and well equipped laboratories which includes amphibian laboratory, clinical laboratory, haematology laboratory, research laboratory etc. All classrooms and demonstration rooms are well equipped with all the advanced facilities required for teaching & learning process. There is availability of audio-visual equipment’s as well. The Department of biochemistry has an excellent complement of teaching by the faculty who are involved in basic and applied research in different areas of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Special tests hormones, tumour markers in endocrinology laboratory under central pathology laboratory.
Department of Pathology
1. Department of Pathology was established in 1991.
Facilities :
2. Laboratory - Provides reliable and efficient services which includes histopathology and immunohistochemistry, cytology and special hematology tests.
3. The central laboratory has automated machinery.
4. Museum- It has well equipped specimens with detailed description of gross and microscopic examination and ICD coding.
5. Department has various charts displayed in UG practical hall which helps students to understand gross and microscopic features in diseased organs.
6. It has Departmental library which includes Indian journal, foreign journals and E-journals.
Department of Microbiology
1. Department of Microbiology was established in the year 1990.
Facilities :
2. Practical hall & Laboratories- Student practical hall can accommodate 96 student batches at a time.
3. There are 7 well equipped diagnostic laboratories. These are bacteriology, serology, HIV virology, immunology, Mycology, Mycobacteriology and one research laboratory.
4. Serology, bacteriology and Mycobacteriology laboratories are having automated equipment
5. Museum contains excellently displayed charts, exhibits, models and specimens.
6. It has 2 demonstration rooms each with capacity to accommodate 75 students are available in department.
Seminar room is available with computer & network facility. E learning services are also available in department. Reference books, Text books, Lab manuals and journals are available in department library
Department of Pharmacology
1. Department of Pharmacology was established in 1990.
Facilities :
2. This department has well- equipped lecture hall with LCD, audio-visual system, and 2 demonstration rooms with capacity of 75 each.
3. Departmental library also has E- books and MUHS digital library.
4. Department also have Software of stimulation techniques for UG and PG to minimize animal use.
5. Department has clinical pharmacology & PG research lab. Clinical research unit with actively ongoing clinical trials in different phases.
6. Pharmacology department has well- equipped museum with good numbers of charts and models.
