Admission Procedure for BPT and MPT

1. Students those who are seeking for admission in to Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) should be given entrance examination namely ‘National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) conducted by state government. Students those who are seeking for admission in to Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) should be given entrance examination namely ‘post graduate course in physiotherapy common entrance test ‘ (PGP CET) conducted by state government.

2. The counseling for all admission to BPT and MPT Course shall be conducted by the State/Union Territory Government. Such common counseling shall be under the over-all superintendence, direction and control of the State/Union Territory Government.

3. An All India merit list as well as State-wise merit list of the eligible candidates shall be prepared on the basis of the merit (AIR) in NEET for BPT and PGPCET for MPT and candidates shall be admitted to Health Science courses from the said lists only.

4. The Commissioner, State CET Cell, Mumbai has been designated as Competent Authority for selection and admissions.

5. Online applications will be invited from eligible candidate(s) for admission . Online application form will be made available on website www.mahacet.org.

6. The list of applicants will be prepared on the basis of information submitted by candidate(s) through online process made available on website www.mahacet.org. The provisional state merit list will be prepared on the basis of the information filled in the registration form and the documents uploaded by the Candidate.

7. The entire admission process will be given in the information brochure NEET UG and PGP CET. Every year the Draft of this Information Brochure was prepared and updated by the Directorate of Medical Education & Research, Maharashtra State, Mumbai (DMER).

8. Students can see all updates and circulars related to entrance exam, admission of BPT and MPT on www.mahacet.org.
