MGM Institute of Physiotherapy facilitates research and innovation in students and faculties to pursue their career in under-graduation and post-graduation to remain updated in field. We believe that - Innovation in healthcare covers innovation in all facets may impact the creation and functioning of the national healthcare system . The research and developmental activities in our institute includes organizing guest lectures/ CMEs / workshops on research methodology by eminent researchers from the academics at regular interval. We encourage deputing our faculty member’s for higher studies and collaborative research to national and international institutes, extending opportunities to PG students for doing innovative research.

Innovation Incubation and Research Center (IIRC)

Our institute has a noble mission of knowledge enhancement in an effort to instil and develop scientific temperament in today’s young learners. To achieve our goals, the institute collaborated with IIRC lab, MGM University. A novel research lab and incubation center is envisioned with a thought of cultivating young innovators .The research lab will foster scientific advancement in the field of physiotherapy. The lab is equipped with advanced physiotherapy equipment’s along with the expertise from engineering and incubation center has IT professionals and advanced robotic labs for innovative research. In addition, we promote students to prepare scientific innovative models for better understanding and learning about the medical conditions.

MGM institute of physiotherapy encourages student as well as faculties to write their innovative ideas in prescribed format and facilitates the process of Copyrighted with government body in India.Receiving patent of one’sresearch work is one of the most important and influential factor to judge the quality of research. Those whoare willing to register their research work for patent(s)/ copyright, they will be given financial assistance by the institute as per our research policy. Institute has included the annual budget for innovation in research policy and promotes its utilization among staff and students.

The vision behind this is to promote invention, innovation and entrepreneurship in physiotherapy field. We aim to train, counselguide and mentor the students and faculties in performing innovative translational research, to provideinfrastructure and technology to test the hypothesis that could result in an invention.
