Department of Surgery

Department of surgery was established in 1990. This department focused their efforts over the last 28 years on training motivated, agile and academically strong skill full surgeons. All of their predecessors' hard work has propelled this department to the forefront of general surgery postgraduate education. This department aimed to meet community needs and provide evidence-based value-added medical education in order to generate competent, confident, and globally acknowledged medical professionals .There is 18 teaching faculties in surgery department. We offered UG and PG courses. Department has spacious OPD with Dressing room and minor OT. Surgery Ward with 150 beds.Well-equipped operation theatres with 3 dedicated General Surgery OT's and 13 bedded Surgical ICU with the Centre for Advanced Endoscopy and Advanced Minimally Invasive Surgery Centre .Program offered M.S. General Surgery, Fellowship in Endoscopy and Laparoscopy and Advanced Minimal Access Surgery.

Department of Medicine


The department of medicine was established in the year 1990. In terms of education, the department takes a patient-centered and student-centered approach. It strives to improve educational outcomes through a variety of courses and facilitating clinical research.


Facilities :

1. MICU, EICU, CCU, ICCU facilities.

2. Male and Female medicine Wards , Total bed strength: 150

3. Departmental linked to well - equipped 24 Hours central laboratory.

4. Departmental library with 298 Books and Journal by title 15: National 09 and International 06.

5. Established E - Library - E - Journal: 97 and E - Books 22, EBSCO host Medline complete database: Total E - Journal - 3709, PDF Full Text - 368.

6. Availability to UPTO DATE Online to all Staff and residents.


Department of Orthopedics

Established in 1990, the department of orthopedics of MGM Medical College is dedicated in providing excellent patient care and outstanding education in orthopedic surgery and musculoskeletal medicine,with team of experts working in the department. The department has a state-of-the-art infrastructure and pieces of equipment to conduct all the specialties services. The department is committed to advancing knowledge related to the management of musculoskeletal disorders through the sub-specialty units renowned at National levels. At MGM hospital we render highly specialized services in all areas of orthopedics, which includes Joint replacement, Arthroscopy, spinal surgery, Rheumatology and Arthritis, Shoulder surgery, sports surgery and many more. We have, in addition, rehabilitation support by full-fledged physiotherapy and occupational therapy services. We have come one step forward to improve our services by faculty development programme which includes arranging conferences, workshops and introducing new teaching methodology.

Department of Gynecology & Obstetrics


1. Established in the year 1990, the department consists of 100 beds and 4 MS seats. Lapro-hysteroscopy started in 2011,HDU(2015), Advanced MIS & skill lab (2015) and Laparoscopy fellowship started in 2018.

2. The services offered are Basic antenatal, intra-natal, post natal services with high risk pregnancy management,Family planning services, diagnosis, operative and laparoscopic treatment of Basic Gynaecology,Diagnosis and treatment of gynecological malignancies, infertility and Adolescent health check up with counselling and education
